VIDEO : StayFresh - Game over Remix

Taken from the forthcoming Stay Fresh Mixtape The Stay Fresh Game Over remix features some of the  Midlands finest MC's from the Stay Fresh Camp Raider,Menace,Pressure,Macca,Casper,Moves and J1 all go in on the Versa Beatz instrumental from the infamous Tinchy Stryder original.
I like this version as each MC manages to showcase their lyrical ability as well as what makes them different from one another as well as what makes them as a unit a force to reckon with within the Grime Scene.
Look out for the Stay Fresh mixtape featuring the entire camp on one disc coming in 2011.

REVIEW - MAXSTA - THE COME UP MIXTAPE

Its been a few years since Maxsta was introduced to the Grime scene by Wiley along with a 'new wave' of Grime MC's but unlike many of the others whom were brought through to represent the future of the scene this Eastham representative is one of the few still standing and sounding strong.
After the release of his debut, the extremely popular 'The Maxtape' as well as ripping to bits a few features on other Artists projects he releases 'The come up' and its as hot as you'd expect as Maxsta doesn't play around when it comes to intricately putting together his Bars and his delivery and flow are definitely above average with him displaying throughout on this mixtape with some Hard Grime as well as some top quality hiphop tracks.
Maxsta's main appeal is his honesty and keeps it real on this not pretending to be anything he's not just an average 18 year old from East London check out the way he explains his entrance to the Grime scene 'Max' with lines like("Logan's show made me late for school on a tuesday morning,so I had to run like Rev,Beckham and Usain all in!") As well as some words that Chipmunk won't be too happy about as he exposes him over a dubstep inspired grime instrumental.
'Come on' feat is a hot slice of hip hop showing his versatility as he spits some clever wordplay ("I keep it normal like school shoes in autumn please don't try and say I never schooled kids I taught em")
Maxsta is comfortable over most instrumentals and clearly has pop sensibilities without sounding desperate as tracks like 'Hooked on you' and 'Bring it Max' could both be chart tracks as well as hot on the streets but Grime is where he really flourishes with tracks like 'My gift' feat Skarez is a Grime Banger ("Last year I was the kid without credit now I got a thing that's fresh out of leggings")
Also check out the Teeza produced 'Wasteman corner' and the Excellent Z.dot produced 'Fire Bars' ft Doller Da Dustman & Big Shiz with all Mc's going in on the minimalist Grime beat.
'The come up' shows how much talent and originality Maxsta brings to the game plus he sounds like he's having fun with the music which is something missing. 2011 will definitely be his year but for now this will keep you goingm
'The come up' shows Maxtas came up 9/10

REVIEW - SWAY - THE DELIVERY 2 + FREE DOWNLOAD LINK

Sways back and sounding better than ever on the Delivery 2 as he cleverly balances his raw lyricism and his main stream appeal seamlessly with a collection of tracks that will satisfy his new fans as well as fans of his earlier work and should keep every one happy until the 2011 release of his new album 'The Deliverance'.
From the onset it won't take too long to understand what sort of party this is as Sway separate's himself from the pack with the epic sounding introduction '2nd Delivery' Which sees Sway dropping more sick bars, flows and punchlines in 2.25 minutes than most artists manage in an entire mix tape its a track which will need at least four re loads on first listen as He goes in with resounding passion over a Triumphant classical instrumental declaring ("This ain't Cam'ron, this ain't Vado, this is that rapper named Sway da Safo, king of the castle,UK's Movado cos I'm breaking bread with Jamaicans Hard Doe") As I said earlier when it comes to Lyricism Sways still in his own league and sharper than ever as is evident throughout this mix tape check the humorous 'Blackberry man'("BlackBerry is a business phone, some people think its a tool,to look like their doing business but they aren't doing no business at all") and deals with his imitators and draws lyrical lines in the sand with F64[100 Bars] ("A lot of rappers ain't for real still they're proper nerds, soon as they get a deal they go to Trotters first,I ain't
gonna name 'em,no promo,no homo, but they are onto me like Smithers is onto Burns' there's the dedication to Real HipHop 'Whose line is it anyway' which finds Sway dropping some of the biggest lines in HipHop but leaving the listener to fill in the blanks(very clever stuff)As well as being one of the most gifted Lyricists in the UK Rap game Sway is also one of the funniest and 'Delivery 2' is peppered with his usual light hearted and dark sense of humour and Look out for the skit 'Jason' which will have you in stitches as well as serious tracks like the inspirational 'Nelson lives Freestyle' Dedicated to the struggle of Nelson Mandella which is done in a way you actually listen and learn as its done in a style which is effective unlike most political rap which seems like the same old, same old and this is really one of the main things that sets Sway apart from the rest his ability to take regular and irregular situations and make them entertaining where as a lot of Rappers can't work out how to hit different angles on their subject matter without either forcing it or biting to some extent Sway seems to enjoy working out different ways to attack tracks and this is something anyone who's listened to his previous projects will know.
A seasoned vet in the UK game Sway has accomplished more than most but doesn't seem the sort of guy to rest on his previous accomplishments and its evident here as the 'Delivery 2' will have you waiting hard on 'The Deliverance' 9.5 out of 10 - CLASSIC!

In the latest instalment of the About to B series from  BSomebody tv comes a Miski a female hot spitter from West London who can definitely hold her own and has alot of talent with a hard skippy flow and clarity which works well with Grime as well as some hard hitting punchlines. Its actually good to see a new girl on the block as there are only a handfull of Females in the game and this is something which needs to be expanded upon especially if they spit bars like this, expect to hear alot more from Miski in 2011.

BIGZ - STARMAN THE EP - REVIEW & D/L LINK

Let's face it Bigz is an artist who definitely has Star potential and I guarantee after listening to this ep 'Star Man' it will be a bit hard to dispute! Since entering the game a while back with the classic track
'Cor Blimey' as well as his entertaining verses on everyone's projects and remix's.
Bigz has managed to build a loyal fanbase who enjoy his skilled word play and humorous wit which are constantly refined and improved upon with each release as was evident with the 'Flight of the Navigator Mixtape' as well as the 'Quick zip' which was his most recent release but all that can be considered a warm to 'Star Man' as Bigz might have just dropped another contender for mixtape of the year, only problem is this doesn't play like your average mixtape with its completely original production and an all star cast(S.A.S,G Frsh,Sway,Wretch 32,Baby Blue,Tzar,Ayo,Eldee
Opening proceedings is the triumphant sounding 'Star Man' with Bigz instantly making it clear he's here for business ("Flawless is the Bosses image, man the Polo is loco ,got more horses than John McClerik") Honestly how many UK Rap artists are making the sort of comparisons?not too many and this is another thing Bigz does well covering things you don't hear too often a perfect example of this is Patriotic 'Omo Naija ft S.A.S and Eldee ' I honestly can't remember anyone pushing a track so Nigerian you could bang it in Lagos all day,but in a way everyone can enjoy with the Eurogang member spitting ("Bigz is a Boss so salute him of course ,I'm recruiting, you love the way I brought you the movement, this is patriotism at its best form,so you know the greatest as I'm the next on")
Its also interesting that this time round Bigz plays around with his flow a lot more than on previous releases and they all work with his distintive vocals check out 'Loose control','I want paper' and 'Look like Money feat G Frsh and Tzar' which is a banger.
However Bigz can be faulted for having one too many 'Girls' and commercial tracks and although they will work well for radio and the Ladies there are only ten tracks and at least 4 of these are in that direction, but this is all good as what I consider to be the best track on this EP 'Motion picture' is way too much with its intense synth led beat and the Flygerian dropping constant heat rocks ("Skys the limit ni**a elevate or levetate, but set a date for heavens sake ,cos the clever know they generate to celebrate,so I demonstrate and meditate on getting cake") and ("I'm dripping in cerruti,a top fella when I'm listening to Kuti!!) Now although the last one might go over a few heads those that get it will get it!! Anyhow this sounds like another mixtape that shouldn't have been for free but since it is make the most of it and download it now!!(Pay him back when his album lands)

A BIG 8.5/10

FREE DOWNLOAD - BADNESS,KILLA.P,SHIZZLE & JAMAKABI - FULL OF LYRICS (MIXTAPE)

Here's what you call a proper link up with 4 of the UKs Hardest MCs coming together to form  'Full of Lyrics' and thats actually an understatement as this mixtape contains  pure bangers ranging from Hardcore Ragga to Raggae to Grime with each MC bouncing off each other neatly in terms of lyrics and delivery you cant go wrong with Badness,Shizzle,Killa P and Jamakabi all on one project as they are all individual masters of the Ragga style flow which they all work effortlessly,Peppering tracks all over this mixtape.
My personal favourites are 'Full of Lyrics','Cross the Bridge','Twitter','Tarzan' &'Dudus/Dudus Two' but I got to big up the 'Full of Lyrics' man dem for bringing back the spirit of Tubby.T by dropping two of his freestyles as the last track which was a nice surprise but there's tracks for everyone on this I know the Ladies are going to go nuts for tracks like 'Gallis' and'Nookie' and I can imagine certain man loosing it to'When mi rifle ah rise' Expect a full review on this asap but be sure to Download this Now!!!
