GIGGS - "HOW DARE THEY"

South London UK Rapper and Sn1 representative Giggs is back with this banger of a track How dare they which sees him addressing all the hurry come up UK Rappers and contenders trying to climb into his throne which he never vacated dropping some harsh words and reminders over a slick instrumental with his usual laid back and calm flow which add to the depth of this track.
Not too sure where this one will end up but its a straight banger and once again Giggs proves the top spot is his for the time being as he's still very much on top form.
("These little Gold fish, think they're turning piranha,I'ma shape these Ni**as up like they're personal barber")

Giggs - Im On One Freestyle

Peckham South London Rapper and SN1 representative Giggs has dropped the full version of his 'Im on one' freestyle which is his remix of Young Money US Rapper Drakes track but once again the UK Rap version is slightly better as Giggs gets it popping with some hard bars.
This,I'm sure you will agree is definitely a return by Giggs to his earlier style with the same grittiness which caught many's ear in 2009 not too sure where this is going to end up but knowing Giggs's work rate there's probably a mixtape on its way.

Review - FemFel - Eyes Closed

Peckham in South London has been the breeding ground of a lot of talent within the UK Rap scene and like fellow Peckham Rapper Giggs, Fem Fel has consistently released Hot tracks which have managed to create enough Hype around his work to the point of being signed by Ten Ten records and after dropping legendary UK Rap mixtapes such as 345 and Fem Fel vs Blade as well as some memorable verses on others projects and freestyles Fem Fel has released his long awaited debut album Eyes Closed.
Eyes closed is a Musical Odyssey from the onset with Fem Fel exploring a wide range of instrumentals and musical backdrops starting with the triumphant sounding Intro which with its Horn led beat see's Fem Spitting ("Real Trapstar on a paperchase, doing the Rolex sweep with an Ace of Spades,Errrgh,we ain't the same,In my hood Ni**as die and we ain't amazed,I tell em find a good place to save and don't showboat till you know the safe is safe,Ni**as talk too much when they face the Cage and A Goon runs up with a face of Rage")
Eyes Closed is the same old Fem Fel and although there are a few more radio and Club friendly tracks His lyrics and subject matter haven't changed which is a blessing as most UK Rap artists sacrifice this on Label releases but Fem Fel hasn't diluted his musical output which is refreshing.
This Album is diverse with a wide range of topics and emotions and tracks to check on this album are, The infectious Trapping anthem Money,Money,Money, Mister,Mister,Put it in a Bag which is The UK Swag anthem featuring fellow South London UK Rapper Blade Brown,The realistic and vivid lyricism over slick production on Jail Tails is epic as is the emotional and hard hitting Hero is a deep track and probably the strongest on the album as Fem Fel drops rhymes about a love lost
("And If you don't want to stay jyst tell me you don't, and if you don't want to tell me just tell me you fold,I'm starting to feel like I'm in live with my foe, can't take these nights but I don't want to go,They didn't give me the Job I came home and you couldn't even give me a hug, eyes welling up thinking bout what we become, starring at the ceiling thinking what have I done")
Eyes Closed as a debut album isn't devoid a few flaws with a few tracks Floating and Lemme Know suffering from lack lustre production but apart from these It is a very well executed project and one which puts UK Rap in a good place as It shows Artistry as well as development as Fem Fel shows a lot of improvement especially in his delivery and also manages to drop an album made by himself without packing it with irrelevant features.
("Nothing like my Brother no walk in the Park,I had to drop a few rappers trying to walk in my path,I ran across a weak bridge,I aint walking it last,I'm different I'm real,I talk from the heart")
No truer a word can be said of this Album as Fem Fel does what many a rapper need to start doing and talking from the heart and not being afraid to be different.
9.5/10
A very Hot debut and one strong enough to get you to open your eyes to the level of Fem Fel's Artistry.

Review - Exo (U.S.G) - The Appointment

After the critically acclaimed Power of the Pound mixtape Exo from North West London's U.S.G camp is back with a new mixtape to warm thing up until the release of his forthcoming debut album The Waiting Room
As you will know from his Power of the Pound mixtape Exo crafts his verses intricately and can switch lanes with ease, whether he's dropping thugged out street anthems,Social commentary or reminiscing on days gone by Exo always manages to bring something extra to the track and his vivid descriptions and detailed rhymes are in abundance once again on The DJ Livewire & DJ Skratchee  hosted 'The Appointment'
Starting off with the smooth melodic Soulful
bounce of My Thoughts Exo shows exactly what's made his Popularity amongst UK Rap listeners as well as the Respect of his counterparts as he goes in lyrically from the drop with his usual passionate delivery spitting impressive lines like
("Ended up in Crown now were off the List,So I thank God and Pray for that Final Kiss,I love the roads,I know she loves me too,Throughout the Bullshit my Baby girl pulled me through,So She won't see the back of we,This is London North West Stone B!,Pray for forgiveness, this is real life Cuz this is big business!")
Tracks to check include The excellent and Street Certified Banger Devil In Disguise Which features Scorching Hot verses from Babz (Squeeze 4 P$) Young Marv and Exo over a sick Instrumental Here I go again featuring U.S.G's Lefty and Squingy Let's talk Sex,My Thoughts 2,The Roadman anthem Dark Whips and also the Flyboy anthem My City which features Young Mad B and his fellow U.S.G member Squingy.
Another of the Strongest tracks has got to be Flyer than I've ever been which features U.S.G's Lefty and Miski and has a laid back summer feel with its soulful backdrop as well as some Hard lyricism from Exo who spits about his day and shows loves to a Currently incarcerated K Koke
("First thing a quick visit to the Bing,I go and Check my Brudda cos right now he's On the wing,I tell him bout what happening and watch him feel the Wind,Couple snacks from the canteen and Watch him roll back in")
The main two main ingredients which separate this from a lot of the releases out are Exo's Honesty in his tracks as well as the Soulful feel of the mixtape as it is layed with some classic sounding samples which work well and come as a breath of fresh air in this day and age of every one using generic Lex Lugar sounding instrumentals.
Show N Prove Possibly the best track on the Appointment is a fine example of this as Exo drops bars like
("and they're trying to keep me here,I run towards my Angels but my Angels disappear,I look up in the mirror, I see demons in my rear, but my heartache don't stop,it don't beat no fear,so I'm first to grab my B****r and I ask my Brudda where?,Already L****d light it up and let it flare!!")
The Appointment is one for the mandem as well as anyone who likes real rhymes and Real instrumentals as I haven't heard anything this soulful for a while,There are a few misplaced Samples before a few tracks but other than that is an appointment you will enjoy.
9/10.
All were waiting on Now is the album The waiting Room which is coming soon!

Fee Fee - Freestyle (Robeworld.com Exclusive) Prod By D.C

Brand new freestyle from Fee Fee for Mykal Million and Robeworld.com and produced by D.C and see's Fee Fee Dropping some hard bars over the menacing instrumental with Slick lines like ("What you thought this was?I dont talk to cops,Id rather be in jail charging phones with 40 watts") and as has been noted before Fee's flow is completely retarded and might be one of the most and unique  and unorthodox in the UK rap game right now as not too many artists are flowing any where near this level.

VIDEO : PAK-MAN - HIGHS AND LOWS

Pak-man is back with another slice of raw reality UK  rap with his latest track 'Highs and Lows' which is an introspective track and finds Pak-man questioning the street life and how long it lasts which is something very few UK rappers actualy touch on especially 'Road' artists,Hopefully this should be something we will see more often in 2011 as there needs to be a balance in the music and its good to see Pak-man leading the movement.

VIDEO - STYLAH - PROLOGUE (TREADING WATER)

Stylah is back with a video for the intro track from his new album Treading water,Prologue features cameos from 25 of the biggest artists in the UK rap scene including Smiler,Sincere,Strapzy,Charlie Sloth,Ill Mill(sms),Mega (s.a.s),Fumin,G Frsh,Lowkey,Sway,Krome,Ace & Vis,K Koke,Tony D,Doc Brown,Bashy,Noel Clarke,279,Wordplay,Loudmouth as well as celebrity ex gangster Dave Courtney with all of them performing as Stylah, like in that Rock video by Nickle Back.
The track is a very deep insightful journey into the mind of Stylah as he flows in and out of  a slick instrumental  dropping some powerful punchlines and metaphors ("Obamas got a plan now cos we need change,Obamas got his hand out cos he needs change,A brudda changed plans now cos my needs changed,The futures now panning out with no replay!") This is a definite historic moment for UK Rap as no one has managed to pull off a video with this many cameos and I guarantee you will see more artists trying things like this which is only a good look for the scene.
