West London Grime representative Nasty Jack has just dropped this visual to his version of Skeptas Grime smash Mike Lowery with Nasty Jack spitting nothing but bars for the roads with a wide range of flows and as per usual very witty wordplay making this another Jackum BANGER!
Look out for more from Nasty Jack coming soon.
Bristols BS5Tdot is back putting in work with another hot Grime track and a hot video to match for his version of Skepta's infamous Mike Lowery track and he smashes the instrumental peppering the track with some very strong lyrics as well as his usual Bristol swagger.
Skepta's 'Mike Lowery' continues to bring out the rawness in MC's and the latest version see's two of South London's hottest lyricists Youngs Teflon & Skwilla Da Gorrilla spitting flames on the Grime instrumental with both of them bringing a certain South London swagger to the track and putting a lot of Grime MC's to shame as.Youngs Teflon drops lines like ("When I bust mic MC's start fall call me Teflon Tetris,I keep links with the Gangsters goons grown men and the getters") with Skwilla coming through with ("Skwilla da Gorrilla I eat mans dinner with the spinner I did that plenty ,I come from a hood where nothing ain't good nobody ain't got no Bently") These two are definitely innovating the game as the lines between Genres gets more blurred I guarantee were will hear more UK Rap artists killling the occassional Grime beat.Thank Skwilla and Youngs for that.
Look out for Skwilla Da Gorrilla's new mixtape 'Jungle fever' coming soon also click here for young Teflons 'Over the head Mixtape' from I-tunes.
JME has dropped another big video this time to the track 'JME' taken from his current album 'Blam' and it sees him going inn on a 808 inspired Grime instrumental with some hard bars delivered fluently and with some advanced wordplay which as usual Mr Jamie Adeuga makes look easy ("Born in Hackney, raised in Tottenham,Lived in Palmers never had a job,Im not unemployed im a sole trader, dont get annoyed, cos im still a Baider") *Note a Baider is someone with money*
After his epic 'Mike Lowery' freestyle and his scorching bars on Skepta's 'Thown in the bin' off his album 'Doin' it again' JME is really showing that he has the game in a headlock and a tight one at that.
When Wiley is on a Grime Track he's practically untouchable and in 2011this is still the case as the King of Grime shows in this his Mike Lowery Remix which we brought you as the Skepta Instrumental was being remixed by wiley in the studio.I'm also going to declare this the moment MC's leave the beat alone as it has actually been done to death and there's a few new hot beats knocking around so get it popping on those if anything.
Footage from Skepta's launch party for 'Doin' it again' from monday night and it looks like it was definitely the place to be with Skepta performong a few of his hits along side his Boy Better know family and a whole heap of UK artists from all Genres as well as performing with Jammer and Shorty as well as his Brother J.M.E and Frisco,|P money,Blacks,Lil Dee,Footsie as well as tearing down the place with Blade Brown.
Skepta performing Mike Lowery is definitely the shut down moment.Good to see Grime Artists and UK Rap artists on the same stage especially when they are doing it like in this video.
[Shouts to Elmino (The Black steven spielberg) & GrimeDaily for this]
Jammer,Diesle,Fumin Tim and Barry have actually gone in on this video to their Remix of the Skepta 'Mike Lowery' track and aside from J.M.E I havn't seen anyone pay as much attention to their visuals when it comes to the now infamous Grime banger.
Look out for more videos coming from Tim and Barry with their second series.
Maxwell D has gone back in on the Mike Lowery instrumental and brings us English Mike Lowery as his second Mike Lowery Freestyle and I cant lie I honestly thought his original version was the one but some how I like this one a bit better with Maxwell dropping bars like ("I ain't wasting my breath add me on Facebook look at my pics,I par with guys that run this Country and I don't like politics,So better know I'm very important,The media tried to set me up on the buzzcock's show but I didn't rebel like a student I'm not stupid.
He also addresses Wiley and declares he will destroy the whole grime scene for 20bags (£20,000)!
After their epic remix of Skeptas 'Mike Lowery' track East London grime MC's Jammer,Diesle and Fumin have dropped another monster of a track with this one. The track 'Its all bars' is one for the mandem with Jammer dropping a sick flow and bars as well as ("Im a Rockstar but I dont do Rock,Im a celeb but I dont eat c@?k ") which is a send to Aggro Santos whom he had a brief tweef (Twitter Beef) with recently.
Diesle comes through with his useual confident streetwise lyricism ("If your locked out the game I will lend you keys,Dont act rough say thanks and please") as well as Fumin who comes through with ("No retreat no surrender I'll start duppying kids like Brenda, the real Eastender, real airbender, realer than real and hes a pretender")
Im hoping that this will be the start of something as these three soung good together and compliment each others styles instead of sounding like they are clashing.
In this interview with SB.TV The reigning King of Grime Skepta talks in-depth about his forthcoming album 'Doin' it again' and explains the idea behind the track 'Mike Lowery' and explains a lot including how he keeps the balance between tracks like 'Rescue me' and ' Cross my heart' for the mainstream and making Grime tracks like 'Hello Good morning' and 'Mike Lowery' for the underground as well as explaining what he has planed for his tour with Plastic man and Logan Sama,What the American reaction to the 'Hello Good morning' remix with P.Diddy as well as his track with Tinie Tempah,Soulja Boy and 50 cent with the 'Mean Mug' remix which came about through DJ Whoo Kid,Producers to expect to hear as well as how he started MCing in the first place plus more and also the Boy Better Know Album which will be coming soon.
In the recent video to JME's 'Mike Lowery' freestyle many of you would have noticed him promoting 'JME History' with many of you probably wondering what it was, well i can tell you that it is a mixtape comprising of all the best tracks and instrumentals from his 3 previous Boy Better Know mixtape series and includes some real bangers and timeless Grime classics including '99 Bars of revenge','Flippin Hell','Poomplex','Heard what I said' and much more over the 32 tracks with some hard instrumentals and features from Wiley,Skepta and President .T.'History' is definitely worth checking out if you are a JME fan who hasn't heard these track or some one who has lost the originals(Like me)
Skepta discusses his forthcoming album 'Doin' it again' with Summit from the HipHop chronicle and in this extremely candid interview he discusses what Grime is to him as well as why he chooses to stick to the genre and why he believes others don't need to as well as his label Boy Better know and licensing his music to labels as well as the now infamous 'Mike Lowery' track and the other MC's version as well as him bigging up Genesis Elijahs version as well as JME's and much more.
Shouts to my Boy Summit once again living up to the title the Michael Parkinson of UK Hip Hop!
JME has dropped his version of his big brother Skepta's Mike Lowery track with a video and Mr Jamie Adenuga aint playing with his remix and it sees JME dropping some seriously hard lyrics and punchlines over the bouncy instrumental utilising a similar flow as used by Skepta but making the track his own with his crazy but thought provoking lyrics which pepper the track with lines like ("Let me tie up my du-rag I'm a start parring,I just smashed a mirror, waked under a ladder nothing ain't gwarning,When I touch mic bare man start shaking their head, some man start bawling,Cos I'm a Bad man and i got bare stripes on my arm, like I been self harming")
It's this type of lyrical superiority which have seen JME's albums 'Famous' and 'Blam' do so well amongst all the Grime releases and I do hope to hear him on a track with Skepta on his new album 'Doin' it again'which is out on the 31st of January and hopefully a Boy Better Know album later in the year.
Manchester's R.I.O has dropped his own version of the Now infamous Skepta 'Mike Lowery' track with him actually turning the track into his own dropping bars in his undeniable Moss side flow ("Your not kanye your not Jay-z,how can you say that you run this town? How can you say that you run this town,Kings of the city but I run them down") With lyrics like this you can see how R.I.O is becoming a force to be reckon with amongst the Grime MC's not only in Manchester but the whole UK.
Mike Lowery fever is in full effect and Jammer,Fumin and D Power have linked up to really put in work over Skepta's instrumental with each MC dropping their individual flows and styles with something here for every one with nothing but hot grime bars being dropped on this one with Jammer spitting ("MC's talk bout money but I swear down half of their phones dont call out/and man wanna talk bout running in my yard but I'll make sure nobody walks out") Diesel Spitting ("If its war nothing less than the 45 I carry/I am expensive them man are cheap like cash and carry") Fumin spitting ("I was in Stratford Rex when you were stealing in Argos,i dont wanna talk to your manager, your hear Im the one you cant par off,Yeah i got something on me so big 1 shot will write your whole car off")
This is an absolutely Disgusting remix ofthe Skepta track and might just have the streets asking for a project with these 3 East London all featuring.
Foztee has dropped his version of the Skepta Mike Lowery track using the Grime instrumental to show his versitality with his double timed flow as well as his gift for crafting catchy hooks "Wait one minute let me just bun this!" and "Fire like a Mac 11" as well as dropping bars like ("Been around from the time of Eski,DTI and all the old MC's/flows that I spit there all grease /wanna bring it to me?Yeah oh please")
Look out for more from Foz Tee in 2011 including his forth coming mixtape 'What the UK is missing vol 4' which will be including his 'Mike Lowery' remix.
Maxwell.D has brought the fire back out as he goes inn on Skepta's 'Mike Lowery' track and kills it with his brand of Ragga inspired Grime which adds a new dimension to the track with him dropping bars like ("Mi a bad boy mi no care bout taliban /people dead from you diss my famalam") This beat has definitely brought out good old Pay as you go Maxwell.D which is a good look.
Genesis Elijah has wasted no time getting busy over the 'Mike Lowery' instrumental which was released yesterday beasting in a sick aggressive double time flow which sits neatly on the beat dropping bars like ("Skepta good luck for the release show what we can do with support from the streets man I'm far from a horse but I treat this game like buffet all you can eat watch what i do hear what I say not on none of them games that they wanna play get chased with the flames and they ran away I'll die for my Pride cant take man away!").
Look out for Genesis Elijah 'Before I was Famous' out now!!
In the run up to the release of Skepta's forthcoming album 'Doin' it again' Skepta has dropped the instrumental to 'Mike Lowery' which is a bold move and shows Skepta embracing Grime's up and coming artists instead of doing what most grime producers and artists do these days and try to keep Grime instrumentals to themselves instead allowing for others to make 'versions' and dubs which are needed as they bring new life to tracks (I was reported to [Snitched on]You tube by a certain producer).
A very good look for North London's Joeseph Junior Adenuga better known as Skepta and hopefully one others will learn from but then again there's reasons why some artists record with the grates like Diddy and others just get left in the hood.
Skepta's new album 'Doin' it again' is out on the 31st of January and features tracks with Diddy,Chipmunk,JME,Preeya Kalidas and more.
Skepta on a serious street vibe on this one as the Boy Better Know goes in on this exclusive for DJ Whookid as part of his British Invasion series which also includes Giggs and Tinie Tempah, this track sees Skepta at his finest dropping some very hard bars like
"To many wanna be badboys flexing like their so rowdy ,Look a badboy straight in the face tell him Im a real bad boy F**k Mike Lowery" I cant say Ive heard Skepta go in on a track like this since possibly over the top.Watch this space for more exclusives from the British invasion.
