What do you get when you mix Beautiful women, some of the best underground Music and a well catered venue? A Saturday night to remember and Butterz and Hardrive 2nd Birthday party is a night everyone that attened will not forget in a hurry.
The line up on the flier was enough to let you know it was going to be a night of nothing but the best in underground music with Grime,Funky House,Garage all on the menu with an emphasis on the instrumentals and less on the MC's which is sometimes a problem but in this case couldn't have worked better with the few MC's selected definitely understanding what was needed of them.
Events were set of with firing sets by D.O.K,P Jam (who was accompanied by Big Narstie) and DJ Swindle with all DJ's playing sets covering some of the best tracks around and a few classics with the occasional V.I.P version tearing the club down.
After some very energetic sets and the club filling up with some very beautiful females and Guys out to party one of the headliners Terror Danjah took to the Decks with Bruza and Riko and all mayhem was let loose with Terror Danjah definitely showcasing his expertise with a beat selection jampacked with bangers and a few surprise mixes and dubplates with Bruza and Riko fully complementing his set perfectly especially when classics like Wiley's 'Eskimo' and Dizzee Rascals 'Hoe' were played.
Elijah and Skillam took to the Decks with a surprise guest dressed in a onesie zipped to the top which when opened revealed JME who vibesd along to the classics and new school bangers Elijah and Skilliam dropped before the Boy Better Know member climbed onto the Decks and performed a tirade of hits and fan favourites including 'JME','AWOH','Serious' and many more before walking into the crowd to perform 96 Fuckeries whilst being mobbed, hugged, posing for pics and partying with the crowd which was definitely a shutdown moment and one of the hardest performances I have seen from a Grime MC in a while.
After Elijah and Skilliam had blown out the candles on their cake Kiss 100 Fm took to the Mic and MC'd on stage and whilst he didn't drop any bars he did a good Job of hyping the crowd.
Marcus Nasty played a straight firing Funky House and Minimal set with nothing but the latest tracks with the crowd going nuts at each track he dropped with him more or less taking them on another Bass filled journey.
Spooky Bizzle was next up and kept the early morning revellers skanking out to some of the hardest Grime instrumentals mixed with classics till the early morning which the crowd definitely weren't bothered by.
Butters and Hard drive is going to be a hard night to beat as the vibe, beautiful Ladies and Music will be a hard task to replicate,If you weren't at Cable on Saturday you really missed out.
10/10
