Bristols BS5Tdot is back putting in work with another hot Grime track and a hot video to match for his version of Skepta's infamous Mike Lowery track and he smashes the instrumental peppering the track with some very strong lyrics as well as his usual Bristol swagger.
When Wiley is on a Grime Track he's practically untouchable and in 2011this is still the case as the King of Grime shows in this his Mike Lowery Remix which we brought you as the Skepta Instrumental was being remixed by wiley in the studio.I'm also going to declare this the moment MC's leave the beat alone as it has actually been done to death and there's a few new hot beats knocking around so get it popping on those if anything.
Footage from Skepta's launch party for 'Doin' it again' from monday night and it looks like it was definitely the place to be with Skepta performong a few of his hits along side his Boy Better know family and a whole heap of UK artists from all Genres as well as performing with Jammer and Shorty as well as his Brother J.M.E and Frisco,|P money,Blacks,Lil Dee,Footsie as well as tearing down the place with Blade Brown.
Skepta performing Mike Lowery is definitely the shut down moment.Good to see Grime Artists and UK Rap artists on the same stage especially when they are doing it like in this video.
[Shouts to Elmino (The Black steven spielberg) & GrimeDaily for this]
'Thrown in the Bin' is a Grime instrumental which Skepta produced a few years and has been used a few times but there was never an official version that is untill now with Logan Sama on Kiss 100fm playing a version of the Grime Instrumental which has received a new lease of life in 2011 with Boy Better know MC's Skepta,Frisco,JME,Jammer,Solo 45 and Shorty BBK all doing their thing and fully turning the track into a banger and possibly an anthem for 2011.Not sure where the track will be released as it was confirmed by Skepta that the track which is not on his album 'Doin'it again' will also not be featured on his forth coming mixtape with DJ Whookid.
Skepta was on Channel 4 last night and had an extremely in-depth and candid interview for their show 4play the interview followed Skepta as he went to get a new Tattoo as well as caught up with Boy Better Know memebers J.M.E,Jammer and Shorty with Skepta having some making some very interesting and valid points espescially his reasons for continueing to make Grime and his forthcoming album 'Doin it again' as well as his
tracks with N-Dubz and the making of his new track Amnesia.
Jammer,Diesle,Fumin Tim and Barry have actually gone in on this video to their Remix of the Skepta 'Mike Lowery' track and aside from J.M.E I havn't seen anyone pay as much attention to their visuals when it comes to the now infamous Grime banger.
Look out for more videos coming from Tim and Barry with their second series.
Amnesia is the latest track taken from Skeptas forthcoming album 'Doin' It again' and the Video finds Skepta with his Boy Better Know Crew Jammer and Frisco raving it up in Ibiza with a nice holiday and clubby feel to it which goes well with track which is on an electro/Grime vibe on the track and which I happened to catch its Live worldpremier last year at the Mobos with Skepta tearing the place down with the exclusive track. While this track wont have the same effect as the Mike Lowery or Hello Good Morning Remix with P Diddy this track it will definitely get more airplay as well as hopefully draw a new crowd towards Grime and UK rap.
Skepta has recently announced his 'Doin' it again Tour' with tickets available for Pre order now. You can also pre order his forthcoming album Doin it again from I tunes right here
Maxwell D has gone back in on the Mike Lowery instrumental and brings us English Mike Lowery as his second Mike Lowery Freestyle and I cant lie I honestly thought his original version was the one but some how I like this one a bit better with Maxwell dropping bars like ("I ain't wasting my breath add me on Facebook look at my pics,I par with guys that run this Country and I don't like politics,So better know I'm very important,The media tried to set me up on the buzzcock's show but I didn't rebel like a student I'm not stupid.
He also addresses Wiley and declares he will destroy the whole grime scene for 20bags (£20,000)!
In this interview with SB.TV The reigning King of Grime Skepta talks in-depth about his forthcoming album 'Doin' it again' and explains the idea behind the track 'Mike Lowery' and explains a lot including how he keeps the balance between tracks like 'Rescue me' and ' Cross my heart' for the mainstream and making Grime tracks like 'Hello Good morning' and 'Mike Lowery' for the underground as well as explaining what he has planed for his tour with Plastic man and Logan Sama,What the American reaction to the 'Hello Good morning' remix with P.Diddy as well as his track with Tinie Tempah,Soulja Boy and 50 cent with the 'Mean Mug' remix which came about through DJ Whoo Kid,Producers to expect to hear as well as how he started MCing in the first place plus more and also the Boy Better Know Album which will be coming soon.
Skepta discusses his forthcoming album 'Doin' it again' with Summit from the HipHop chronicle and in this extremely candid interview he discusses what Grime is to him as well as why he chooses to stick to the genre and why he believes others don't need to as well as his label Boy Better know and licensing his music to labels as well as the now infamous 'Mike Lowery' track and the other MC's version as well as him bigging up Genesis Elijahs version as well as JME's and much more.
Shouts to my Boy Summit once again living up to the title the Michael Parkinson of UK Hip Hop!
After JME turned up the heat yesterday,Wiley's been on U stream again and he's been in the studio preparing to turn up the heat in the Mike Lowery Remix game with the Godfather of Grime Wiley jumping on board Skepta's now infamous Grime instrumental and here's a preview of what he's got coming.
JME has dropped his version of his big brother Skepta's Mike Lowery track with a video and Mr Jamie Adenuga aint playing with his remix and it sees JME dropping some seriously hard lyrics and punchlines over the bouncy instrumental utilising a similar flow as used by Skepta but making the track his own with his crazy but thought provoking lyrics which pepper the track with lines like ("Let me tie up my du-rag I'm a start parring,I just smashed a mirror, waked under a ladder nothing ain't gwarning,When I touch mic bare man start shaking their head, some man start bawling,Cos I'm a Bad man and i got bare stripes on my arm, like I been self harming")
It's this type of lyrical superiority which have seen JME's albums 'Famous' and 'Blam' do so well amongst all the Grime releases and I do hope to hear him on a track with Skepta on his new album 'Doin' it again'which is out on the 31st of January and hopefully a Boy Better Know album later in the year.
Manchester's R.I.O has dropped his own version of the Now infamous Skepta 'Mike Lowery' track with him actually turning the track into his own dropping bars in his undeniable Moss side flow ("Your not kanye your not Jay-z,how can you say that you run this town? How can you say that you run this town,Kings of the city but I run them down") With lyrics like this you can see how R.I.O is becoming a force to be reckon with amongst the Grime MC's not only in Manchester but the whole UK.
Wolverhampton's Tenny Ten has come through with his version of Skepta's Mike Lowery track and its a banger still with Tenny remixing the track fully using a flow similar to Skepta's, spitting bars like ("All these haters out to de-motivate,I really need to thank 'em,Stack my doe all these pounds lying around I just bank 'em,Treat girl just like cabs at the end of the ride I skank 'em")
I hope to hear more hot music from Tenny Ten in 2011 who has been making UK bangers like the classic 'Bagged Out' along time before it was fashionable!
Skepta has linked up with two of the hardest UK rap artists Blade Brown and Youngs Teflon for this track 'In your dreams' taken from Blade Browns new album 'Financial Times coming soon. The track which sees Blade and Skepta dropping some hard verses with Youngs Teflon holding down chorus duties on this extremely spooky sounding instrumental which brings out the best in all 3 artists who all do their thing on this track.
Look out for Skeptas new album 'Doin' it again' which is released on the 31st of January
[Shouts to Elmino for another Hot video]
Hypa Fenn & Marcie Phonix have sprayed up the Skepta 'Mike Lowery' instrumental and boy they actually bring a lot to the Grime instrumental,Hypa & Marcie are now known as 321 it is good to hear some new music from the West London Grime MC's and Im looking forward to hearing more in 2011
Mike Lowery fever is in full effect and Jammer,Fumin and D Power have linked up to really put in work over Skepta's instrumental with each MC dropping their individual flows and styles with something here for every one with nothing but hot grime bars being dropped on this one with Jammer spitting ("MC's talk bout money but I swear down half of their phones dont call out/and man wanna talk bout running in my yard but I'll make sure nobody walks out") Diesel Spitting ("If its war nothing less than the 45 I carry/I am expensive them man are cheap like cash and carry") Fumin spitting ("I was in Stratford Rex when you were stealing in Argos,i dont wanna talk to your manager, your hear Im the one you cant par off,Yeah i got something on me so big 1 shot will write your whole car off")
This is an absolutely Disgusting remix ofthe Skepta track and might just have the streets asking for a project with these 3 East London all featuring.
S-X from the StayFresh camp is the producer behind the biggest Grime instrumental of 2010 the 'Woooo Riddim' and has started this year pretty much the same with the '100 Bags' instrumental which is picking up pace and already a crowd favorite not to forget him working his magic on the Skepta and Chipmunk track 'Big' off Skepta's forthcoming 'Doin' it again' album as well as the recent Chipmunk freestyle.
This mixtape '3000 followers' is to celebrate him reaching 3000 followers on twitter and contains some of his hardest Grime instrumentals to date with him dropping the 'Burial' and '0121' as well as few more monster beats to say thanks to everyone for following the Stay Fresh producer.
Foztee has dropped his version of the Skepta Mike Lowery track using the Grime instrumental to show his versitality with his double timed flow as well as his gift for crafting catchy hooks "Wait one minute let me just bun this!" and "Fire like a Mac 11" as well as dropping bars like ("Been around from the time of Eski,DTI and all the old MC's/flows that I spit there all grease /wanna bring it to me?Yeah oh please")
Look out for more from Foz Tee in 2011 including his forth coming mixtape 'What the UK is missing vol 4' which will be including his 'Mike Lowery' remix.
