TK - THE PROBLEM - REVIEW

The Problem is the debut mixtape from East London's rising star of UK Rap,TK (The King) an Artist who made a lot of noise earlier this year with videos for the hard hitting track's Strapped up and Stressed Out since then he has amassed a loyal following with hard hitting tracks and some highly impressive freestyles and guest spots all this has led to the release of this mixtape which is available for free download.
Tk serves up 19 tracks of solid UK Rap which will satisfy any fan of Street Lyricism as TK manages to balance The streets,His Life,Love,Ambitions and observations of his East London stomping grounds which is something that seperates him from the latest crop of UK Rappers who seem to rely more on their street reputations over their content.



Tracks to check on The Problem include the anthemic No Games,the chillingly haunting  In for the Kill,Don't Fuck with me feat T.S Family ,Snaking you and This Life,all hit the target spot on and make The Problem definitely a worthwhile listen and a solid debut but there are a few misteps such as the forced production on Please Tell me and an unfocused choruses on Still on Road and Hate the Player but for most part T.K shines on tracks with a knack for crafting heartfelt music and thought provoking concept led tracks such as what is probably the best track on the mixtape the turkish Dcypha produced Thoughts of a Gun which sees T.K dropping clever bars Playing the role of a Gun in the streets with 2:28 minutes of pure audio cinematography with lines like
("So he took me out the pouch and flipped out the clip, swang out on my cylinder and tightly held the Grip,Filled me up with sweets and told me get ready to spit,Its time to put some use to you and bang off at these pricks,The last time I felt like this I was pointed to a tree but now I think I'm gonna fucking life with me,so as we peddled up to the side where they would chill he pulled back on my hammer and told me time to show 'em real")
The Problem does well in separating T.K from UK Raps current crop of up and coming Rappers as he manages to carve his own lane without too many of today's cliches instead showing hunger and raw talent choosing to stick with good old fashioned Street lyricism coupled with ban‎​ging beats and this is where he wins.
A Solid Debut and a definite Problem for the UK Rap game that will be around for a while.
