Review - Scorcher - Audiowave

Heralded as Scorcher's return to His Grime roots and No holds barred lyricism,The former The Movement member and East London Grime MC and all rounder Scorcher aka Luke Skywalker has a lot riding on his latest mixtape Audio wave.
Although he has achieved some degree of commercial success (and an increased female fanbase) with his Tracks Lipsing Ting and Its My Time,True Grime fans have felt disregarded and in a genuine attempt to reconnect with them offers up this 11 track mixtape.
Starting things off is Scorchers excellent re working of JME's Grime Classic 96 Bars of Revenge which has to be one of the best Grime tracks to drop over the past few months as Scorcher basically shows what the essence of Grime is at its Finest and mentally he is in pure Grime Mode reminding listeners why he is rated as one of the top ten Grime MC's in the UK with Hard bars like
("I got Pain In my chest,Stress in my Heart,Feds them arrested the best of my Dargs,and I Just did so many shows,the last four days I ain't slept in my Yard") 
This is without a doubt the Scorcher that Grime Fans remember as he peppers the track with Hard bars and an equally impressive delivery.
Scorcher has never limited himself to one Genre and excels at both Grime and Rap and demonstrates this on tracks like That's Right Featuring Sincere,The Old skool tinged We Up and My Last which is a perfect track for the summer and will please his army of female fans,But its the Loick Essen assisted track We ain't the same which see's Scorcher at his finest Rap wise dropping some well placed and highly arrogant bars
 ("I get an Encore,When I'm On tour,Gunfingers up like they want war,Ni**as bout let's collaborate......What for?")
Although its undeniable Scorchers Rap Flow is top shelf its his Grime work which still stands out a lot more especially on what is probably the hottest track My Aura which sees Scorcher Mercilessly attcking an S-X produced instrumental with lines like
("Yeah,Yeah,Yeah we can all spit,but only some of us are gonna get a Mortgage!") As well as ("All Over the side of the Bus,I used to ride on the Bus,one little poster campaign,every night a load of Champagne,Einstein of Grime,get a load of Mad Brain")
Although Grime Purists probably won't be screaming his praises over this Project Audio Wave Fans of good Music should definitely give it a go as although Its not his Greatest work it is One banging mixtape!
