REVIEW - POLITICAL PEAK - REDBULLWAVE

Political Peak's 'Redbull Wave' mixtape  is definitely a mixtape for any lover of Raw Uncut UK Rap with the South Londoner using the mixtape to showcase his ability as an MC to craft Red hot street Bangers which work well whether they are for the ladies or for the 'mandem on roadside' which further prove Political Peak to be a definite star in the making.
RedBull wave Starts off with the excellent 'Wave like Peak' which sees him smashing out wavey bars over a sick addictive instrumental with him spitting
("My mans moving like he warn carn me,cah he heard that I'm dating his Aunty,I sexed after I texed her,on my double bed that's where I stretched her, undressed her legs on the chester, layed the smackdown moving like a wrestler")
That sets the lead for a mixtape drenched with heated tracks whIch are laced with tales of the South London. Streets,Girls,Money,Relationships plus real life situations which are all handled well and all well executed with passion.
This is evident on tracks like 'Champion' which sees him flipping the Chipmunk and Chris Brown track with Political Peak dropping some concious and thought provoking lyricism
("Girls my desire,never my motivation")
'Set Up' sees him telling a story of him slipping and being led into a trap by a chick. 'Ping Ping Ping' featuring Sneakbo shows his ability to make anthems which will have appeal to both sexes without him sounding like he's trying, which is something a lot of Artists can learn a thing or two from.
Continueing with his display of hot remixes is 'One in a Mill' and 'Movie'  with Political Peak spitting some of the hardest bars off this mixtape with lines like
("I know bare man up in the hood don't feel me, I'm not surprised if my own Dargs wan' Kill me,I be staying in the Fields where its Filthy,Fuck there and Fuck there, just find me where the Hill be")
Features on 'RedBull wave come from JJ,Sneakbo,KB KRT,Serious Sykes & GI Doe this is a certified Street affair which will definitely do the rounds as well as help to solidify his status as one of South London's Brightest UK Rap prospects who is definitely in Line to Blow in 2011.
'RedBull Wave' is a solid mixtape and will keep Political Peaks fans happy as well as earn him a whole load of new ones, although it would have benefited from more fresh music and less freestyles but all in all A very well deserved
  8.5/10.
