REVIEW - SAM KHAN 'ONLY ONE ME' MIXTAPE PLUS D/L

In an age where Lyricism in UK Hip Hop has taken a serious back step to Swagger,Street credibility and Auto tune there are only few Lyricists who still make credible Hip Hop while avoiding the clichés and instead using words to create images and telling their story through music and to this list we can proudly add Sam Khan who offers up a full Lyrical Lesson with his new mixtape 'Only one me'
As already mentioned Sam is not a run of the mill MC and this is proven here with tracks like 'Spell My name','twisted' 'Final statement' and 'Fall back' where Sam spits("Blatantly certain man wanna hate on me,Don't tell me I don't know about grafting,I been paying rent since age I6"),but don't be fooled into thinking the 7 time 'Jumpoff' battle champ is a one trick pony as over the 14 tracks he manages to drop a wide variety of topics from his Family life, past. and present relationships, hopes and aspirations as well as Sams various styles of delivery which range from Mellow and laid back to a double timed rapid flow which all work well and maintain his level of clarity plus lyricism prime example of this would be 'See you later' where he kills it with("your an OG nobody cares, your chit chat gets totally aired,I do a shows and hands get thrown in the air,you do a show nobody's there!")
Where many Lyricists choose extremely mundane beats and subject matter which goes over the average listeners head Sam Khan has successfully avoided these downfalls and instead chose beats which actually bang reminiscent of a non sellout Chipmunk or Kano as its evident that Sam takes his time when writing and this comes out in the quality of his work all in all this is a sick debut and were expecting big things from the boy from Wembly!!
A solid 8.5 out of 10
