The clock has been ticking since sidewinder summer 2016 packed up its sound systems and went for a snooze, but the clock is ticking louder and the alarm is about to go off to wake us all up for a super-sized indoor and outdoor skank out at the impressive Bowlers exhibition centre, Manchester on the 25/02/17.
After the immense line up of last years’ festival which saw Wiley and DJ Slimzee come home to the festival they first performed at 17 years ago, and So solid crew smashing the venue to bits with a classic set of all their hits which gassed the crowd to the point fire engines were parked outside (ok that’s a lie but they should have been!) you just know this year will not disappoint. If you missed So Solid crew last year, guess what? They are back at Bowlers on Saturday 25th February 2017 to set it off with a bang, you lucky lot! Fresh faces Abra Cadabra will be robbing us of energy as he is set to shell down on stage and cause a madness and man of the moment Big Tobz joins the line up alongside Cadet to provide the crud laced with corn of course. As well as the fresh faces gracing the line-up, Sidewinder will also celebrate Garage greats with live performances from Oxide and Neutrino, DJ Luck / MC Neat and Artful Dodger and Grime legends Roll Deep, Pay as you go, DJ Slimzee and President T will also be there to hype the crowd until the early hours of Sunday morning. If last year’s standards are anything to go by Sidewinder 2017 is not to be missed and is the only way to warm up for 2017’s sizzling festival season, you may as well begin the year how you mean to go on – with bass in yer face!
