REVIEW - DVS - ONE IN A BILLION - MIXTAPE

‎South London UK Rapper and founding member of Brixton's PDC, DVS has managed to do something practically impossible in the UK Rap game and that's release his latest mixtape One in a Billion after a 4 year delay and it managing to live up to the hype.
There have been many an artist. Who loose their relevance after just a year out as the UK Rap scene is an ever evolving game and last time DVS had a mixtape out many of today's Rappers were not around but some how the demand for DVS verses and tracks has continued grown,Maybe its true what they say absence makes the heart fonder!
One in a Billion see's DVS at his finest dropping his Hood and social observations with his usual touch of panache and bashful arrogance as well as his undeniable street lyricism and attention to detail which is at an all time high and puts him into his own lane as DVS has always had a different way of approaching tracks attacking with a wide range of flows which consistently hit the spot.

DVS shows his versatility and ability to craft tracks on many different levels on One in a Billion with a selection of some of the hardest instrumentals, covering different moods and emotions and also through some extremely High Powered collaborations with DVS holding his own against Veterans and also serving as the Gate keeper for some of the next wave of South London's UK Rappers.

Tracks to look out for are his collaboration with North stars Young spray on Bout It, English Frank and Shystie on In Out, His original PDC team mates Jaja Soze,Naja,Inch,Ty Nizzy drop nothing but heat rocks on the gritty posse cut Back like we never left,

The intense wordplay of  Born as a Boss with Krept and Konan not forgetting the haunting track Fast Change with North London's Joe Black and Squeeks and his collaboration with Ghetts and vocalist Melly Mellz Fly Straight is another highlight on the mixtape.

Although this mixtape may seem like a collaborators dream all isn't plain sailing as with this amount of guest spots on One in a Billion there is sometimes a compilation feeling rather than that of a mixtape with DVS only dropping 4 tracks with no assistance which is definitely not needed for an Artist of his caliber. This however is the only fault on this mixtape which for most part see's DVS proving why he just might be UK Rap's One in a Billion.
