Review - Tinie Tempah & DJ Whoo Kid - Foreign Object

Tinie Tempah is a perfect example of what hard work, dedication and not being afraid to be yourself can get you as at time of writing this its no way wrong to say he has definitely become the Biggest UK Urban artist and his profile continues to grow at a rate which has left many Artists looking Irrelevant and others becoming hateful of his success but Tinie see's past a lot of it and has America to concentrate on.
After receiving countless accolades, awards for not only Music but also a GQ award for his dress sense, Having accumulated multi platinum sales in the UK and Europe,Touring Australia with Pharell and N.E.R.D,Recording Top Ten Tracks with The Swedish House Mafia,Performances at The WWE championships and Lucozade Endorsements its only right that Tinie Tempah has his eyes focused on breaking into the American Market.
Earlier this year Tinie Tempah hooked up with G Units DJ WhooKid for the Live Base mixtape which was all in all a very good effort but lacked the star power and the Co-signs the Americans have come to expect from New comers If they are to be taken seriously and fortunately this has been rectified thoroughly with Tinies Latest DJ Whookid mixtape Foreign Object.
Hosted by Russel Brand (who is also on the clasp of cracking the American Comedy Scene) From the onset you get the feel of Major Celebrity Endorsements as Tinie Tempah shares tracks with some of Americas biggest Names in Music Lil Wayne,Rick Ross,Kanye West,Nicki Minaj,Jim Jones,Katy Perry and to great affect as they manage to add a different dimension to the tracks with some bringing a street edge whilst others bring their uniqueness which helps make Tinies British image less important and brings more emphasis to his creativity.
Check tracks like the excellent Look at me now which features Lil Wayne and which see's Tinie Tempah dropping bars which drip with Millionaire playboy swagger
("You Ni**as don't eat in Phillip Chows and you ain't no members of Soho House, man I go all out ,aint got no spouse, made cheese and cream all without no Clout, international fam without no doubt,F*uck girls with names that I can't pronounce......")
Lil wayne follows through with a scorching verse
("Ciroc and sprite on a private flight,bi*ch I been nice since guiding light")
and Tinie proves he can actually hold his own with the big dogs of the Rap game.
Racks on Racks sees Tinie Tempah dropping some smooth verses with the aid of auto tune and getting it spot on with some well placed Bars
Which are also laced in Swagger
("I got a chain that I don't even wear,My eyes Red like medium Rare,I got about 10 that I share, with a few of them football players,I'm a ceo and Boss where the f*ck is my round of applause?I don't go to the Tap for water Ni**a all that I drink is Vorse")
Tinie Tempah is clearly in Show off mode on this mixtape but You can't help but feel happy to see Him balling as we have all seen his assent from just another Grime MC to Pop Prince and rightly so as he has worked for and therefore deserves all he has.
Hustle Hard with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne is easily one of the hottest tracks on the mixtape with Tinie managing to once again keep up with the two Rap heavyweights with Hard lines like
("I'm the real deal man I'm the Business now I fly first, private or business, man don't phone me if I don't phone you,I'm eating now nigga soul food,I got a cell phone and an O2,and I just sold out the O2...")
This is some of the best Street music Tinie has cooked up as I guarantee now the Road man are going to have reason to play his music as well as Americans will rate his verse as well as the co-signs on the track.
Foreign Object however is not without Fault as at times the subject of balling becomes slightly repetitive and Tracks such as ET Remix featuring Katy Perry and Kanye West and Be Killin em sounds very uninspired but that all pails into insignificance as the addition tracks such as Make it Rain featuring Jim Jones and Hitz produced by Chase N Status More than make up for any mis steps.
This is a mixtape for Barbecues Drop tops or one to listen to on the way to the club as it is definitely certified playboy Music and should inspire a lot to do better in the hope of living better whether your from the UK or US.

9/10

A well executed mixtape from DJ Whookid as well as the Strongest body of work I've heard from Tinie Tempah so far.
