Review - Diva Twins - Up Your Diva - Mixtape

After the success of the Winter Grind mixtape and various guest spots as well as cosigns from some of the biggest artists in Rap Music NorthWest London's Diva Twins and 1 Up Empire representatives Mafiella and Queen Ice cream are here to prove they are an asset to the UK Rap game with their latest mixtape Up Your Diva which is hosted by Ragga Artist Gappy Ranks and sees Diva Twins offering up 16 tracks of pure North West London heat with what might be their best work to date.
Starting things off with the explosive no nonsense anthem Duffle Bag Mafiella and Queen Ice Cream waste no time setting straight their status amongst the Female MC's in the game with Queen Ice cream spitting
("I move wreckless, gassed them with a necklace, Queen Ice cream I am the bestest, sitting in my throne like a fucking empress, the 419 got me stacking papers")
9 Piece sees the Divas joined by Skrillz and King Bizzy to destroy the Rick Ross instrumental with Mafiella shelling down bars
("There's no other words to explain, ride or die chick boss status is the name,I don't get gassed,I use the thing, getting money in Diva hustling")
There's a wide selection of themes and moods which is accentuated by the instrumental selection on this mixtape and tracks to check include Batty Riders ft Shimmer Baby,Stuntin' Ft Gappy Ranks,Breaths we take ft Jimmy Snookz but its not strictly a collaboration affair as the Divas show they can hold their own with bangers like Wifey vs Matey which sees Mafiella dropping a sick ragga inspired flow which works perfectly with the instrumental and Queen Ice Cream really gets things popping on the Diva's remix of Drakes I'm on one
("Lord protect me from my enemies ,I didn't know my BFF was a Frenemy..")
With Mafiella equally impressive with lines like
("Rolling out with the queen riding shotgun, wrapped up the game bring 2012 come, space ship mode shine like the sun, redbone diva with a big bum")
This mixtape is one for anyone who likes the finer things in life and also for the ladies who ain't into accepting no rubbish from men as well as The Trappers out there is definitely for you and will hold you down till the Divas Debut album which is coming soon.
SOLID OFFERING FROM THE DIVAS!

Review - Cerose - Pain and Fortune - mixtape

South London's Cerose has dropped numerous mixtape since his debut Murder Blues and the Street lyricist has built a strong following due to his detailed content which is full of depth, reality and truth which is something that has separated him from most South London Rappers and has also seen him build a profile in America where Cerose has recorded with some of the most respected street lyricists including various members of D Block, Ransom and more and is also affiliated with some strong movements including French Montana and Max.B's CokeWave boys.
Pain and Fortune is a mixtape full of passion and heartfelt integrity with Cerose eschewing Balling in the club for lyrics about surviving in these hard times plus vivid insight into his life and times with some high powered features from French Montana,Blade Brown,DVS,G Dep,Serious Jones,Joe Black and Exo from U.S.G.
Starting things off with the dark and triumphant sounding Don't shoot the messenger Cersoe wastes no time reinforcing his spot in UK Rap and let's off some wisdom for the streets
("Taking the piss, don't slip they are making it tighter,3 strikes turna brother into a lifer,I'm getting rich brother, either or either ,real Niggas all my dons are certified riders")
From there Cerose shows his content covers more than just road life with the melancholic One fine day which sees Cerose questioning society and the way the world is moving these days as he spits over a violin led instrumental
("My Country is a whore, and she's her own predator, loves war but money more, and that's what she's telling ya")
Purple Flower is classic Cerose and will definitely keep his older fans happy as Cerose drops a track laced with intelligence and knowledge in his own inimitable style.
Fellow South London Trapstar Blade Brown makes an appearance on Pain and Fortune and the 2 get things popping on the menacingly dark Ruthless People,While on the infectious Trap house which features Klay Kash Cerose spits
("I been all over the globe and sipped pink moet,I been hitting the dro and fucked rich hoes, new Jack, new Crack word to Nino")
Check the track Piano Man for more insight into Cerose and his mind frame as he cautiously warns and reminds that there are always snakes in the grass praying and plotting on others downfall's with lines like
("Thank you Lord for another day, show me the door, pray I don't go the other way, money make, break and take your friend away, I see him coming my nigga know he's a fucking snake")
Cerose's main strength is his ability to capture his exact chain of thought on the papers lines and whether Its Trap Life,Political Issues or a look into some of the conspiracy theories in our everyday lives he does it to the best of his ability and with a level of sincerity a few artists could learn a thing or two from.
If you are into UK Rap then this is something you need in your collection as Its UK Rap at its finest.
